Send a CPS Student to Experience: Black Panther Private Screening and Cinematography Technology Discussion
Project Higher Ed is hosting a private screening of Marvel's Black Panther for 100 high school students and staff from Michele Clark Academic Prep High School. In addition to ensuring that the students see the empowering film about a black superhero, we are taking it a step further with a panel discussion about the types of cinematography technology and STEM careers that are utilized in the production of this film.
The panelist are DePaul University business professor, filmmaker, social entrepreneur and CEO of the technology hub Blue1647 - Emile Cambry Jr; Filmmaker Jonathan Woods, Co-Founder of Bright Seed Collaborative; Keisha Howard, a tech and geek culture enthusiast well known from Sugar Gamers and BlazeBreakers; along with Immanuel Baldwin, Director at Meraki Creative Studios. Project Higher Ed's Board Member and Radio Personality Mario Smith will moderate the conversation.
Students will also receive gifts and prizes at the event. Michele Clark Academic Prep High is one of only six CPS STEM High Schools.
